History

On March 25, 1917, Sigma Delta Tau (ΣΔΤ) was founded

at Cornell University by seven young Jewish women who had experienced subtle, yet real discrimination that many Greek organizations practiced at the time. They founded this sorority with the goal to create an organization that would respect the individuality of each of its members.
